Brainstorm Comics carries comic books by DC, Marvel, and a slew of independent publishing companies. The management will special order titles that we don't ordinarily carry if there is a request for them.

Comics are available for all ages. Children's comics are now located in boxes at the front of the store. Ask the staff if you need help locating these comics.

Comics arrive bright and early Wednesday morning at the store and are promptly put on the "New This Week" shelf.

The store also house a large and eclectic collection of back issues. If you have gaps in your collection or want to read that series that everyone was talking about but you never got to at the time, look through our collection.

Subscription Service

Brainstorm Comics' Subscription service: Reserve your monthly titles at Brainstorm Comics. Come in to pick them up at least every 2 weeks.  In return: you are guaranteed to receive the issues you reserve, and you receive a 10% discount on your comic book purchases.

All subscription comics are pulled under your name and ready for pick-up Wednesdays at 11:00am.

Title: Death Note Vol. 1

Publisher: Viz Media, 2005

Grade: B

A dark Manga about a boy who finds a notebook that belonged to a demon/fairy from another dimension. The notebook is special, if the owner writes someone's name in that book, that person will die. The teen decides to use the book to rid the world of evil, name by name. Of course, things become interesting when the authorities decide to search for the mysterious killer.

I would give it an A, except that the cursing and subject matter is not my style. The writing is excellent.
