Hey Brainstormers, It’s Cyd and I’m here with another review.
Saga Volume One is written by Brian K. Vaughan, known for The Last Man and TV’s Lost, and illustrated by Fiona Staples, Mystery Society and North 40, and takes place in space. Space nerds unite! Alana and Marko are from two different factors and have just given birth to a beautiful half breed daughter, something considered very rare in their time. There in the middle of an all out galactic war and everyone wants them dead and their baby under their wing. So Alana and Marko are on the lamb trying their best to find a safe place for their daughter, away from the embassy’s cruel hands. The novel can be related to the likes of Romeo and Juliet but in space. The story is fun and pulls you in immediately as you feel for the characters and the predicament their put in as well as informative insight since its narrated by their daughter. The illustrations are colorful and detailed. Each scene is as intense as the last. This graphic novel has seven books in the series and each one will reel you in just like the last. This is great for people who enjoy life in space and galactic battles, also if you’re a fan of Star Wars or Star Trek. Ages 16+
