1. Geiger #1

I have been so excited for this book since it was first announced. Geoff John’s has been away from independents for 20 years and this sounds like a triumphant return. He is teamed up with superstars Gary Frank and Brad Anderson. This book takes place in the distant future after a nuclear war. The world is a pretty messed up place and doesn’t have many heroes but there is one man who is taking a stand against the chaos. There are many different names people call him but his name is Geiger. This is something special, you do not want to miss this book!

3. The Silver Coin #1

This is a new horror anthology series by Image. I typically try to stay away from horror but there are way too many amazing writers to not read this series. It starts off with one of my favorites, Chip Zdarsky. This story focuses on a failed rock band whose fortune changes when they find the silver coin. However, they soon find out that fame comes with a price and the silver coin takes much more than it gives. Keep an eye out for this series in the coming months!

3. Seven Secrets #7

Another one of our favorite series is back on our list this week. This book has been a tremendous amount of fun from the start. This book just feels refreshing, everything from the art, the world building and a likeable young protagonist. This issue kicks off a second arc and could be a good jumping on point. If memory serves the first trade with issues 1-6 drops next month. There have also been multiple printings throughout so it’s not too hard to go back and pick up those first 6 in singles. Still highly recommend this one.

2. The Next Batman Second Son #1

Future state was pretty rocky for me but I felt that the next Batman was one of the few stories that did capture my attention and I love that we’re going to be able to learn more about how Tim Fox became the Dark Knight. This book is also going to be following closely to Luke Fox aka batwing. This is the next Batman’s version of year one and This will be a story to look out for.
