One of our favorite things to do at the shop is sharing our weekly pull lists and must reads with one another. It’s one of the best ways we’ve been finding new things to read or even reasons to return to old favorites. We thought it
would be fun to start sharing our weekly picks of books we’re most excited about. Our hope is that in sharing our excitement you might discover something new to add to your list. Check back weekly on Tuesday evenings for lists from
John, Chandler and Jason & Jake. Each has a different background and perspective to share.
Spoiler alert: Also check back in the weeks to come for a chance to win some cool prizes including some of the books we’ll feature on our lists.

1. Legends of The Dark Knight #1
Legends of the Dark Knight #1: from the co-creator of The Boys comes the relaunch of a familiar Bat titles that spotlighted rotating creative teams. A new villain is dealing chemicals to three of Batman’s greatest foes. Bats isn’t
going to be happy but readers should be.
2. OBE (Out of Body Experience) #1
In the far future people have mastered how to separate themselves from their bodies and it’s addicting. Meanwhile a killer has found a way to kill people while they are in this state. This sounds similar to the movie Strange Days so I’m definitely in.
3. Red Room #1
The dark web and crypto currency has allowed a new entertainment to emerge–the live stream of murders. There is a caveat to this choice–I’ve been told this gets very graphic. If it willows in gratuitous violence, I’m a lot less interested. If it explores how technology separates us from our humanity, I’m all in.
1. Wonder Girl #1
I think it’s very fair to say that Yara Flor was one of the best things that happened during Future State. She is an awesome addition to the DC universe. Joelle Jones has done an amazing job creating this character in such a short
time. I can’t wait to find out her origins and see her journey to Future State.
2. Stillwater #7
This has been my favorite new series since Covid hit. Chip Zdarsky is building a truly great universe in this series. This issue starts off a brand new story arc. Do yourself a favor and pick up the first trade paper back and then buy this book. This is a must read series!
3. The Immortal Hulk: Time of Monsters #1
This is it. After 45+ issues we finally get to meet the original Hulk and the origins of the Green Door. This is not for everyone but for those who have been keeping up with Al Ewing’s Immortal Hulk this feels like a crucial missing piece of the puzzle.
This is one of the first series we started reading together and remains a favorite. Chip Zdarsky is a favorite writer of ours and this book introduced us to him. Elektra is getting settled in as Daredevil in Hells Kitchen while Matt, still in prison finds an unexpected Ally. This title is always a great read.
2. BatMan Zero Point #3
This has been an interesting crossover with Batman finding himself stuck on the fortnite island. This issue has a code for the Catwoman Grappling Pick Axe. If you have kids who like Fortnite this is a great way to introduce them to comics. I’ll admit this is a far more entertaining story than I would have imagined.
3. Rangers of The Divide #1
Following the disappearance of the nations’ peace keepers, an elite Commander stumbles upon a team of bright-eyed cadets in need of leadership. The group prepares to venture out on their first mission into uncharted territories. This one looks like a fun mix of fantasy and sci-fi. The art really grabbed me when I looked at previews and this has the potential to be fun.
1. Justice League Last Ride
A friend of Jason’s finds himself in the wrong area of Gotham and ends up dead, it’s up to Red Hood to avenge him and exact vengeance on the person responsible. Through his journey, Red Hood must came face to face with his past and
his place within Gotham and the Bat Family.
2. Future State Gotham #1
A returning classic, Legends of the Dark Knight comes back with a new villain on the scene that is making chaos in Gotham through chemical warfare. A great new miniseries for Batman fans!
3.The Flash #770
If you’re a fan of the Justice Society, we’re all starving for JSA content so I’ll definitely take what i can get. Wally finds himself trapped in WWII in Jay Garrick’s body having to take down the Germans! I’m very excited to see Jay back even if it’s for a little!
