One of our favorite things to do at the shop is sharing our weekly pull lists and must reads with one another. It’s one of the best ways we’ve been finding new things to read or even reasons to return to old favorites. We thought it
would be fun to start sharing our weekly picks of books we’re most excited about. Our hope is that in sharing our excitement you might discover something new to add to your list. Check back weekly on Tuesday evenings for lists from
John, Chandler and Jason & Jake. Each has a different background and perspective to share.
Spoiler alert: Also check back in the weeks to come for a chance to win some cool prizes including some of the books we’ll feature on our lists.

1. Batman Reptillian #1
Garth Ennis, fresh off of his success on The Boys, is teaming up with Liam Sharp to provide a Black Label Batman book. There is a creature in the dark corners of Gotham that is striking fear in the hearts of villains–and it isn’t the Dark Knight. Who dares challenge the Bat for the scariest denizen of the dark? I’m looking forward in exploring the streets of Gotham with Ennis and Sharp..
2. Good Luck #1
When the solicit for a book promises to quench the thirst of Seven Secrets and Runaways fans, you can be sure that I will be there. In this book, luck is quantifiable. The Unfortunates, those born with absolute zero luck, have now been tasked with saving the planet. Boom has been hitting on all cylinders with some great content recently and this sounds like a unique story. John. Is. In.
3. MFKZ #1
Based on the breakout Netflix movie, this uniquely drawn comic is done by the creator Run. The city of DMC hides several secrets that makes its citizens look normal. This is definitely for those who are okay with a harder edge comic with a different take on the medium.
1. Infinite Frontier #1
Milestone is back and that means so is Static! This is one of the characters I love the most and am very happen to see him return to comics. This is a new origin story but his powers are the same and I trust Vita Ayala to do this character
justice. Milestone has never been one to shy away from current events and social issues and that is something that makes their stories special and grounded. Expect big things in the future!

2. Black Hammer Reborn #1
After several mini series we return to the main Black Hammer title. Jeff Lemire has carefully crafted this universe and each aspect is amazing in it’s own right. This series takes place 20 years after the events of BH: Age of Doom.
Lucy is married and has given up being Black Hammer. As her life begins to crumble we start to realize what has happened these past 20 years and discover if Lucy will once again pick up the hammer.
Gamma Flight #1
Spinning out of the pages of Immortal Hulk comes Gamma Flight. This mini series will add to an already amazing run that Al Ewing has created. Bonus: there is a really cool “Where the Wild Things Are” variant.
2. WEB Of Spider-Man #2
Take strange academy and swap in science and Tony Stark and you come up with this fun title. This is one of the more fun and accessible spider-man books going at the moment. Lots of fun and a great family read.
2. Silk #4
Silk is one of our most recent favorite characters. This book like our 1st pick is an accessible and fun book in the spider family. Cindy Moon is incredibly likeable and this series has had plenty of action from issue #1.
3. Teen Titans Academy #4
This book has been alot of fun to read as a family pick. Yes it is right in line with other favorites like Strange Academy but trust us this book is it’s own thing. The series is one of many showing off how good the DC books have been with the recent “relaunch” into infinite frontier. This week the students are digging into Red X.
1.Infinite Frontier #1
The DC universe continues to excite me with infinite frontier and some fan favorites are finally starting to trickle back into continuity post Death Metal. This issue has a lot of Justice society content which always has me on board.

Robin #3
This has definitely been one of the best Batman books out recently and I’m excited to see Damian face off Connor Hawke! It’s the son of the Batman vs the Son of Green Arrow!
