Brainstorm Comics is sad to announce that Donna has decided to move on, spending more time with her granddaughter and other pursuits.

This super woman has put in 5 great years at the store, contributing to its 30 years of growth and prosperity. She is an important part of the store’s enduring legacy.

Mike and John would like to extend a special thanks for the assistance she has givem them in transitioning the store over their first year of stewardship of Dan’s baby. Her knowledge and love of the product, customers and store smoothed the process in a way we can never thank her enough for.

To come say goodbye to this amazing lady, visit the store Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday from 11 am to 3 pm. I assure you Donna wants to see each and every one of you. You are like family to her.

This does open an opportunity for someone else to work in the store part-time. We will need someone who can work Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and be available from 9 am to 3 pm. You must have a driver’s license and make a trip to Baltimore every other Tuesday.

Mike and John are thankful every day for many things.

Having bought the store on January 2nd, we are thankful to the loyal Brainstorm customers who gave us a chance to prove we would uphold Dan’s and the store’s enduring legacy.

We are thankful to those who have given the new vision for the store a chance and to those who have provided insight into how to grow and improve.

We are thankful for the patience that our customers have shown as we’ve gone through the changes of the store. We know change can be difficult but all of you handled it well.

We are thankful to the Magic players who have rediscovered the joys of Brainstorm Comics. We thank you for the opportunity you gave us to prove our dedication and commitment to that great game.

We are thankful to Matt and Donna for being great ambassadors for all of the terrific products we carry.

We are thankful to Tyler for taking the time to introduce players to new board games.

We are thankful to Mariza for helping out in the store and keeping us hooligans in line.

We are thankful to Dan Otto for the fantastic laughs and questions of the day.

We are thankful to the parents who are introducing their children to the board games and comic characters, showing them a world beyond flashy television and computer screens.

It isn’t about money for that last one. It is about a story we have been waiting to share. A boy came into the store with his mother a little over a month. As soon as he entered Brainstorm, his eyes lit up. He had found a new home which was solidified with the words that followed–this must be what heaven looks like.

Yes, it is–the joy our customers exude with each purchase, when discussing their exploits in Warhammer, Dungeons and Dragons and the myriad of board games or reveling in adventures of their favorite comic characters–that is heaven.

We are thankful to all of you for every awesome moment you have provided us. You make us want to do even better and we will.
